History

Hand in Hand Christian was incorporated in 1994 as a non-profit organization. What started as a little dream to provide a Christian school for little learners has blossomed into a bustling center of learning and fun. In 2007, Hand in Hand expanded to include half-day kindergarten. We offer Pre K program for 4 year olds, preschool for 3 year and kindergarten.

We are very grateful for the former & current staff, board members, volunteers, and alumni that have helped make Hand in Hand what it is today.

Hand in Hand is and will always be a true, Christian school designed to help your child prepare for kindergarten and elementary school. When needing a school for your young child, we hope you will consider Hand in Hand and become a part of our history.

Philosophy

Hand in Hand Christian provides a nondenominational Christian atmosphere in which the young child can grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Emphasis is placed on creative learning and personal development. The preschool classes maintain a student to teacher ratio of 17:2 and our kindergarten maintains a ratio of 16:2.

Our Kindergarten program exceeds the academic level required by the Arizona Department of Education.

The school admits students of any race, ethnicity, and nationality.

Meet the Team

Dedicated & Experienced

Ms. Parsons- Sievert

Director & Kindergarten Lead

Michelle Sievert started working at Hand in Hand in 1993 as an aide. She was promoted to a Lead Teacher and Asst. Director before becoming the Kindergarten Lead in 2007. She was appointed Director in 2021. She has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education. Helping children grow in faith and knowledge is her specialty.

Mrs. Fenzel

Assistant Director

& 5-day Lead Teacher

Mrs. Fenzel has been a Hand in Hand parent, board member, and aide. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elem. Education and taught for 10 years before joining Hand in Hand. She began working as a lead teacher in 2017 and became Asst. Director in 2021. Whitney loves working with children!

Mrs. Ali

3/2-day Lead Teacher

Mrs. Ali has been teaching pre-school through elementary age since 1998. She holds a Bachelor's of Science degree, and joined Hand in Hand in 2017. She enjoys seeing her students progress through the year and loves that everyday is full of surprises and laughter when you work with children.

Ms. Straub

3/2-day Lead Teacher

Mrs. Straub has been part of the Hand in Hand family for 15 years. All four of her boys attended Hand in Hand and she's worked with us off and on since 2014. She believes that God has given her the heart to care for children and she loves to watch them learn and grow.

Mrs. Ruby

Kinder Aide

Krystal Ruby joined our staff in 2021.

Mrs. Quintero

5-day Aide

Cynthia Quintero joined our staff in 2024.

Mrs. Kelly

3/2-day Aide

Mrs. Kelly began working at Hand in Hand in 1991. She enjoys listening to her students tell stories and working with them on projects. Her favorite part of working with young children is seeing their faces light up with excitement when they learn something new.

Stacy Dykins joined our staff in 2022.

Our school values information sharing with our families. Hand in Hand Preschool and Kindergarten partners with Brightwheel and is an easy-to-use tool for attendance, online tuition payments, parent communication, recording activities, photos, and much more!
